About Dream

Public write-ups date Dream Market to late 2013. After the 2017 AlphaBay and Hansa actions it was widely described as the largest remaining English-language shop. Longevity became the selling point — and later directories treat that assumption as the thing to distrust.

On 26–27 March 2019 administrators posted that the shop would shut on 30 April 2019 and transfer services to a “partner company.” CyberScoop noted the notice landed the same week U.S. and European agencies announced vendor arrests under Operation SaboTor. ABC News reported the same close date and the swirl of rumors: DDoS and extortion, a voluntary exit, or law-enforcement pressure. Authorities did not announce a Silk Road-style seizure banner for Dream itself.

The site went dark at the end of April 2019. Open sources still split three ways: a quiet exit, law-enforcement pressure, or a mix. This catalog records that uncertainty instead of picking a cinematic ending. Status is Went dark so the name stays in the historical list without pretending a court-stamped seizure that was never published.

No Official or Mirror string is stored. A familiar brand after a messy close is a cheap phishing costume — treat any address you find elsewhere as untrusted until you check a signed canary and a second independent source.
